WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MENTORING?

In a 2006 Gartner study of over 1,000 workers over 5 years:

• 25% of employees who enrolled in a mentoring program experienced a salary-grade change, compared with only 5% of workers who did not participate in a mentoring program.
• Mentors were promoted 6 times more often than those not in a mentoring program.
• Mentees were promoted 5 times more often than those not in a mentoring program.
• Retention Rates were also higher for mentees (72%) and mentors (69%) than for employees who did not participate in a mentoring program.
• Our program is all about guiding and growing your leadership skills, either as a mentor or as someone being mentored – the ‘mentee’.

HOW DOES OUR TAILORED PROGRAM WORK?

Our program combines formal training, practical mentoring sessions, and time with other program members to share experiences and learn from each other.

Our program stands apart by using the Kolbe-A Assessment to discover your Kolbe Mode of Operation (MO). Prepare to be amazed by how this insight will change the way you act, react, and interact with others, and by its impact on your career, relationships, and communication.

HERE'S WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER YOU REGISTER

• The PMI Queensland Mentoring Program will kick off with the Mentoring Program Introduction webinar. During this joint Mentor-Mentee introduction to the program, we will share the structure, workshop dates and methodology for achieving the best results.
• Once you register, you will receive an automated email from the system with Key Dates. Following this email, we will send you a Matching Form to complete, which will help us get the matching magic started.
• You'll also receive a link to complete your Kolbe-A assessment. This is what sets our program apart from others—we help you identify your superpowers, your natural, born-with way of getting things done, working towards your goals, and being your most productive self!
• Armed with the final piece of the puzzle, your Kolbe-A results, we Will Match You with a mentor who gets you and who won’t give you one-size-fits-all advice that only works for 25% of the population.
• After the introduction and registration, we will help Mentees clarify their goals during the Goal Setting workshop.
• Once matching is complete, mentors and mentees will be introduced during the Meet Your Mentor workshop. We will delve into the mentoring relationship lifecycle, the ARCA model and other tools to help you lay a solid foundation for the relationship.
• During the Discover Your Superpowers workshop, we will share your Kolbe-A result, what that means for your mentoring journey ahead, and, most importantly, how this new level of self-awareness will guide you towards your best, unique approach to problem-solving, communicating, and working with others.
• Additional Wednesday Wisdom deep-dives, focusing on Productivity & Procrastination, Managing Stress and Teamwork & Collaboration, will be held online throughout the year to share, learn and evolve as a mentor/mentee.
• The program will culminate in our Year-End Closing Celebration, where we will share lessons learnt and celebrate successes.

Costs

Mentors: No Cost | This program is free for Mentors.

Mentees: Members $199 / Non-members $299. This includes:

• Kolbe-A Psychometric Assessment and a set of reports valued at $175 per mentoring couple. Self-awareness, Leadership & Performance Training.
• Light refreshments for in-person workshops.
• Workshop materials, stationery, and PMI Queensland program support for the duration of the program.
• Access to the PMI Queensland network of professionals.

Returning Mentees: We have discounted pricing for all our returning participants. After all, returning to our Mentoring Program just means you’re smart enough to know that even mentors need a refill on wisdom—and some fresh challenges and stories for the next round!

Refund Policy: No refunds will be made once the Kolbe-A assessment has been completed.
