April Chapter Event | INFLUENCING CHANGE .. IS THE NEW CHANGE!

Power Skills

Overview

The true test of a successful project intervention or change initiative is whether the approaches and behaviours are sustained. However, there often seems to be an inordinate amount of time focusing on creating the great launch, yet very little attention to what makes change come along - the behaviour change, reinforcement and recognition on the daily. You can’t mandate your way to buy-in, and if your change creates more paperwork and bureaucracy, then you’re doing it wrong. In this interactive session, Leanne Hughes will share approaches to sustain your change and interventions, long after the launch event is over.

Often, when a change occurs within a team and business, it creates more paperwork, more bureaucracy, and more headaches. It’s not about motivating people, either, or seductive launches, either. Here’s the secret: You can’t manage change.

So, what can you do instead? Use some hidden secrets to influence, and be a little lazy. If messages and movements can gain traction on TikTok in less than 60 seconds, we can utilise similar social influence strategies for your organisation.

In this interactive session, Leanne will share three tactics to help your change initiative stick (without having to record a dancing selfie video).

Takeaways/Lessons

  • You'll learn tried and tested counter-intuitive ways to create a movement
  • Discover the assumptions that destroy our change projects.
  • Identify the hidden influences that, when weaponised, can dramatically shift your project's performance
  • You only need two evangelists to change the world (or, your project!). Leanne will share how you can find yours.
  • Participate in a highly interactive, fun and engaging session - this is not a lecture!
