OUR SPEAKER

Sarah Yip
Job Title | Leaders Lounge
Sarah Yip is the Founder and Managing Director of Leaders Lounge, a leadership development community with a clear mission: to end loneliness in leadership and provide a supportive space for people to build their capability, confidence and connections. With more than 20 years of experience in facilitation, learning design and leadership development, Sarah works with emerging and established leaders to navigate the human challenges that shape performance, relationships and organisational change. For project professionals, these challenges are familiar: influencing without formal authority, aligning stakeholders with different priorities, having difficult conversations and maintaining momentum through uncertainty. Sarah brings a practical perspective to these situations, helping leaders understand how their behaviour, communication and decisions influence the people around them. Her work connects leadership development with the everyday demands of delivering outcomes through others, particularly when the path forward is complex or contested. Sarah’s own leadership journey began early, progressing from team member to bank manager before the age of 21. That experience continues to inform her approach: technical competence matters, but leadership also requires self-awareness, sound judgement and the ability to build trust. She draws on her career to make leadership concepts accessible and relevant, creating opportunities for participants to examine their habits, practise different approaches and identify changes they can apply immediately. Through Leaders Lounge, Sarah brings together structured learning, coaching, peer conversations and practical application. Its approach—build, support and embed—recognises that leadership capability develops over time, through experience, reflection and ongoing encouragement. Programs explore emotional intelligence, stakeholder engagement, critical conversations, professional presence and leading through change. Alongside workshops and masterclasses, the community gives leaders space to test their thinking, learn from different perspectives and work through situations they may otherwise face alone. Sarah is also Founder and Managing Director of KEASE Consulting, which works at the intersection of strategy and execution. KEASE supports organisations through empowerment, engagement and enablement: developing leadership capability, drawing on collective intelligence and establishing the processes and support needed for delivery. The team stays alongside organisations through transition and implementation to help embed new ways of working. Her project experience spans leading brands across Australia and international delivery across Asia-Pacific, Europe and Canada. Her portfolio includes work in high reliability environments across aviation, healthcare, higher education, mining, media and technology. This breadth provides insight into how leadership needs to adapt to different operational pressures, professional cultures and stakeholder expectations. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Business in International Business with an extended major in International Relations and a Diploma of Leadership and Management. Her professional accreditations include Everything DiSC, Five Behaviours, Genos Emotional Intelligence and CheckPoint 360°. A proud Queenslander, Sarah is a Queensland Government Mentoring for Growth mentor and a member of the Committee for Brisbane. She has also served as a judge for the Lord Mayor’s Women in Business Awards. Across these roles, she brings a consistent commitment to helping people lead with greater clarity, strengthen their contribution and create workplaces where others can succeed. When she's not working you will find her on a travel adventure including, swimming with whale sharks or visiting 16 theme parks across 5 countries in one year!
