Make Your LinkedIn Work for You

Power Skills

OVERVIEW

In a digital-first professional environment, people often form an impression of us before we can meet or work with them. Our LinkedIn profile and broader online presence can influence how colleagues, clients, stakeholders, recruiters and industry peers perceive our expertise and credibility.

In this session, Kylie Chown will explore how professionals can take greater control of their digital first impression by aligning their online presence with their professional goals. Participants will learn practical strategies to communicate their experience, expertise and value more effectively, strengthen their professional visibility and create a credible digital presence that continues to represent them beyond the first interaction.

The session will encourage participants to move beyond viewing LinkedIn as a static online résumé and instead use their digital presence strategically to support professional relationships, reputation and future opportunities.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand their digital first impression and recognise how their existing online presence may influence professional perceptions.
  • Strengthen their LinkedIn profile so it clearly communicates their experience, expertise, achievements and professional value.
  • Align their digital presence with their professional goals, ensuring that how they appear online supports where they want to go professionally.
  • Build greater visibility and credibility by presenting a consistent and authentic professional identity online.
  • Use LinkedIn more strategically to develop meaningful professional connections and strengthen their position within their industry.
