How to run lessons learnt that actually get used
Overview
Most projects capture lessons learnt. Far fewer actually use them. In this practical session, we’ll unpack how to run a lessons learnt process that changes how work gets done - not one that fills a register nobody opens.
We’ll cover the full loop: how to facilitate a lessons learnt session that gets people talking honestly, how to capture insights so they’re clear and actionable, and how to report, share and embed them so they reach the people who need them next time. You’ll leave with practical tips, simple tools you can use, and the facilitation confidence to run one yourself - even early in your career.

Rhiannon McMahon
P3M Capability Lead | Airservices Australia
Rhiannon is a senior leader with over a decade of experience spanning transformation delivery, enterprise PMO operations, and organisational change - across industries including aviation, manufacturing, agribusiness and telecommunications. She's led enterprise system implementations and digital transformations hands-on, and now works in capability development for a national project community, designing the onboarding, Communities of Practice, and practitioner training that help delivery professionals keep learning and lifting their craft.
