How to Manage your Stakeholders.

Power Skills

Overview

Projects rarely fail on technical grounds—they fail on people grounds. While traditional tools like power-interest grids offer a starting point, navigating today's complex project environments demands a dynamic, human-centered approach.

Join us for an engaging 40-minute session that moves beyond static matrices and explores the modern evolution of stakeholder management. Grounded in empirical evidence and real-world Australian megaprojects—including Sydney Metro and Snowy 2.0—this presentation equips project leaders with practical strategies to build trust, reduce resistance, and drive lasting project success.

Learning Outcomes

  • Comprehensive Stakeholder Analysis: Participants will evaluate the critical role of stakeholder management in project success, recognising its potential to enhance project outcomes by up to 30%.
  • Strategic AI Integration: Participants will understand that AI tools are excellent for automating processes like sentiment analysis, while emphasising the continued importance of human-led negotiation and relationship-building to maintain engagement.
  • Application through Case Studies: Participants will apply their understanding by analysing real-world projects like Sydney Metro and Snowy 2.0, examining complex engagement strategies and long-term trust-building in large-scale, multi-agency environments.
  • Adaptation to Emerging Trends: Participants will prepare to adapt to future trends, including engagement strategies and managing stakeholders in increasingly virtual and distributed work settings.
