The Real Power of Followership
Overview
Leadership gets all the glory, but let’s be real – without great followers, nothing gets done. This session flips the script on traditional leadership talks and dives into the overlooked (but essential) art of followership. With humor, hard truths and practical insights, we’ll explore why being a great follower is a skill worth mastering – for both project leaders and team members – and why organisations should pay more attention to the real most valuable players: followers.
Learning Outcomes
Attendees will leave equipped with practical takeaways, including how to:
- Explain why great followership is just as important as leadership, and how it can be a powerful driver of career success.
- Recognise what it means to be an engaged, proactive and indispensable follower — and how this strengthens your leadership capability.
- Apply techniques to build confidence and capability as an effective follower.
