AI in Project Management Series

This is the In-Person event only.

OVERVIEW

In celebration of NAIDOC Week, this Tuesday's presentation explores how to meaningfully embed policies and procedures, using a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) as an example into a project management framework using AI as a supporting tool. Through a practical, worked example, we demonstrate how AI can assist in identifying, mapping, and integrating RAP commitments across the project lifecycle—ensuring that cultural respect, inclusion, and partnership are not just aspirational values, but built into the structure and delivery of projects. This session offers a timely reflection on how project professionals can take purposeful steps toward reconciliation by aligning project governance with strategic and cultural obligations.

Scott Spence
PMO Lead | Entrepreneur | Futurist

Scott Spence is a seasoned project management leader and technologist, currently serving as PMO Lead. He is widely recognised for pioneering the AI in Project Management event series, which he founded in February 2023 to bring together practitioners exploring how artificial intelligence can transform project delivery.

Scott is deeply engaged with the project management community, regularly hosting monthly gatherings in Brisbane where he presents on topics such as risk management, stakeholder analysis, and deploying on-premises large language models (LLMs). His thought leadership has extended internationally, including a keynote presentation at the 21st Australasian Data Science and Machine Learning Conference (AUSDM'23) in Auckland, New Zealand.

Through these events, Scott has cultivated strong partnerships and secured sponsorships with respected industry leaders. His initiative not only fosters professional development and community networking but also creates meaningful pathways for talent and innovation in project delivery.

Recognising the momentum and impact of Scott’s work, PMI Queensland has formally partnered with him to co-host the AI in Project Management series, providing additional support through its Technology & AI team to broaden the series’ reach and influence.
