OVERVIEW

For the last couple of years, organisations all over the world have been asking the same question: how do we use AI? The main problem is that organisations are seeing AI as a technical problem that will be solved by implementing a tool. AI is a deeply strategic and human problem. It is stress-testing organisations and revealing their strategic and structural flaws. It also reveals your readiness. The quality of your data, the clarity of your decisions, the integrity of your governance, the maturity of your leadership. AI holds a mirror up to all of it, and what most organisations see makes them uncomfortable. 

This is particularly relevant for project management professionals. Projects are where strategy meets execution and where decisions under uncertainty are made daily. AI will make the gap between intent and outcome visible. It doesn't close that gap automatically. It amplifies whatever is already there: good judgement and bad, rigour and chaos, accountability and drift.

Keynote Speaker Aldo has spent more than 25 years at the intersection of institutional decision-making, financial risk, and the kind of change that doesn't announce itself before it arrives. From trading floors across multiple continents to senior investment roles in emerging markets, to data science and AI, he now leads the Data Advisory, Analytics & AI practice at McGrathNicol — a national practice he built from the ground up. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MBA, a Master of Economics, and a Master of Mathematical Modelling and Simulation — a rare combination that bridges quantitative rigour with strategic leadership. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), he also holds board and advisory roles across multiple organisations.
