July Chapter Event | Futurist PM

Business Acumen

Imagine a meetup between project managers and futurists - what sparks could fly? This session will dive into the futures of project management, where the concept of management could be a ‘used future’.

Our international guest speaker, Dr Elissa Farrow from About Your Transition and the Institute of the Future Australia will encourage you to embrace agility, resilience, and a whole lot of "what if".  Elissa will be talking through tested futurist tools, concepts and approaches – a recipe for a future-ready toolkit. We will explore how to make change a collaborative, ongoing journey and we will talk about:

  • Artificial Intelligence and collective intelligence;
  • Why leadership agility and an adaptive mindset is a game-changer; and
  • Why outcomes beat timelines any day.

This isn't your typical PMI presentation. It's about blending the structure good project managers know with the longer-term futures perspective you’ll need. Join PMIQ and Dr Elissa Farrow for a lively discussion where transformation isn't ‘ho hum’ but a chance to ride the wave of tomorrow's possibilities. Let's dive in together and make positive futures.

As a bonus to PMI Queensland members – Dr Elissa Farrow is running a full day futures and foresight virtual workshop with her colleague Dr Jeanne Hoffman the following day 1 August 2024 AEST with discounts to PMI members – check it out - http://tix.yt/futures-and-foresight-workshop-aug-2024
