Agility as A Mindset | February Chapter Event
Overview
Let us spend some time busting some agility myths and learning about how the agile mindset works!
We are going to move away from the focus on the “practices”, the tools and techniques and ceremonies, and we will drill into the values, principles, and behaviours that make agility valuable!
The approach will be a “Lean Coffee” style session, with questions from the floor to help us know what you want to cover; not my agenda but your questions! And, I will relate them back to the main aspects of agility they correspond with.
In this session, we will:
- experience agility in action
- gain insights into the “why” of agility
- learn that agility is more than just Stand-ups and story cards.
Takeaways/Lessons
- Predictive and iterative / evolving delivery approaches – why these are different
- How complexity affects delivery approaches
- Decision-making and empowerment
- How stakeholders are essential for value maximisation using feedback loops
- Team engagement including psychological safety and participation
- How the ceremonies, tools and techniques support the main drivers for agility adoption
