The PMDoS is an opportunity for Project Management professionals to offer their expertise to charities and not-for-profits (NFP) for free.  It's eight hours of face-to-face consulting (with some preparation!) where the wealth of planning and executing expertise is applied to the initiatives of organisations that typically would not have the benefits of such input.

On November 3rd, 2016, the PMIQ Chapter held the first-ever event of this kind outside of the United States.  At the Brisbane Convention and Events Centre, 54 representatives from 20 charity and NFP organisations sat with 56 project management consultants and together they addressed a wide variety of project initiatives ranging from engineering based development to operational change to special event planning.

The activities of the event equated to over $100,000 of professional consulting services offered for free!  The essence of giving was real and instantly realised by those offering their services, and benefits were immediate and tangible for those receiving.  For us at PMIQ, it was a fantastic opportunity to coordinate the bringing together of both parties in a way never done before in Australia!

This year we are going to do it again!  We are going to use the same ingredients towards the same outcome, only just a bit bigger this time.  Our plan is to grow our offering to 40 charitable/NFP organisations requiring approximately 120 volunteer consultants!  And we are thrilled to announce that we are holding this year's event in two locations at the same time - BCEC in Brisbane and Bond University Campus at the Gold Coast!

By volunteering for this event you will earn eight PDUs that will count towards your PMI certification renewal status.
