Q: I am already a PMI Member. Why should I join the PMI Queensland chapter?

A: PMI membership gives you access to PMI resources, exams, and knowledge base. Joining the Queensland Chapter gives you an opportunity to take it to the next level.

Wide range of face-to-face and virtual events, well-structured professional development activities, career advice and mentoring are some of the things you can leverage to take your professional project management to the next level.

Networking with project management professionals and developing long lasting connections is something that our members benefit a lot from Queensland Chapter membership.

 

Q: What membership types are offered by PMI Queensland?

A: PMI Queensland offers all types of memberships provided by PMI Global.

  • Individual Membership: It makes up the majority of Queensland Chapter’s strong member base.
  • Student Membership: Queensland Chapter works with universities to introduce project management concepts to university students. Students are offered membership benefits at a discounted rate.
  • Group Membership: Queensland Chapter also offers group membership to large organisations. It is aimed at providing a consistent PMIQ experience to a group to advance their project management profession.

 

Q: How do I get the most from my membership?

A: PMI Global membership gives access to PMI resources, exams, and knowledge base. The Queensland Chapter membership gives access to wide range of face-to-face and virtual events, professional development activities, career advice, mentoring and so on. Networking and creating professional connections are something our members benefit a lot from Queensland Chapter membership.

Q: How do I apply for PMI Queensland Chapter membership?

A: PMI Membership and Chapter membership are managed centrally by PMI Global. Click here to find out more about application process and fees. We look forward to welcoming you to the PMI Queensland Chapter community.

 

Q: I just became PMI Global and Queensland Chapter Member. When I try to login, I get an error suggesting that your information is not shared with Queensland Chapter. What do I do?

A: It takes 24-48 hours for PMI Global and Queensland Chapter systems to synchronise. If the issue persists, please contact us on membership@pmiqld.org.

 

Q: How do I set up automatic renewal of my PMI Membership and/or PMI Queensland Chapter Membership?

A: The PMI Global membership as well as local chapter membership and renewals can be easily managed on PMI Global website by logging into your account.

Here is the easy 4-step process for you to join other chapter as well as self-manage auto renewal of your membership.

  • Log into pmi.org using your PMI credentials.
  • Go to Membership section by clicking on myPMI on top right corner on the page.
  • You will be taken to Membership Overview page. Click on 'Manage' next to Membership Automatic Renewal.
  • On the Manage Membership page, you can turn on/off automatic renewal of PMI Global and local chapter membership.

Q: How do I cancel automatic renewal of my PMI Membership and/or PMI Queensland Chapter Membership?

A: The PMI Global membership as well as local chapter membership and renewals can be easily managed on PMI Global website by logging into your account.

PMI Membership is non-refundable and non-transferable. You can choose to not renew your PMI membership at the time of your next expiration. Here is the easy 4-step process for you to self-manage your membership.

  • Log into org using your PMI credentials.

Q: I am moving to another city/country. Can I transfer my membership to another chapter?

A: PMI Membership is non-refundable and non-transferable. You can choose to not renew your PMI membership at the time of your next expiration.
