Working Together: Professors & Professionals

Academic Event November 2020

Let’s be honest; creativity and innovation are not words that usually spring to mind when someone mentions project management. That’s about to change. Join us for an event that will blow your mind and get you excited about the future of our profession.

Hear from professors at Bond University and QUT talk you through their teams’ cutting-edge research that promises to make the lives of project managers a whole lot easier.

Professor Craig Langston from Bond University will talk to you about his team’s development of the i3d3 model, which claims to measure the success of projects across the initiate (design), implement (deliver), and influence (delight) phases of a project’s life cycle.

Their approach is agnostic to project type, size, location, or date. The i3d3 model has won numerous research awards and is considered the only example of success measurement that enables projects to be easily compared and ranked. This is a must-see presentation for project managers.

Professor Robin Drogemuller from QUT will introduce the Building 4.0 CRC, and its goals around prefabrication and off-site manufacture as the basis for a discussion on how this could impact project managers as a whole.

Building 4.0 CRC is an industry-led research initiative co-funded by the Australian Government. The CRC aims to develop an internationally competitive, dynamic, and thriving Australian advanced manufacturing sector, delivering better buildings at a lower cost, and the human capacity to lead the future industry.
