PMIQ August Event 2019 - Continuous Improvement vs. Innovation

Continuous Improvement vs Innovation – Are you missing out by confusing them? A cheat sheet to recognise the difference

Explore the concept of innovation from a strategic, as well as a neuro-science perspective, in order to understand the difference between continuous improvement and innovation. This is key to quickly identifying which approach is needed when faced with business management challenges.

Did you know that we are all able to increase our ability to be more innovative? We will discuss practical ways that are easily transferable & will assist in facilitating design & operationalisation of innovation structures. We will also investigate what does that practically look like when business as usual has to be maintained. Innovation is a buzz word that needs demystification, so the purpose of our discussion is to clarify the difference between continuous improvement and innovation and identify characteristics of how different intelligences approach the topic. This clarity can also be very helpful in order to streamline task allocation and ensure successful delivery of projects.

What you will take away from this event:

•Which questions to ask to confirm whether you are facing a continuous improvement or innovation problem
•Find out if you are naturally more competent to focus on continues improvement or innovation and ways to develop both abilities
