Overview of PMI membership

PMI establishes project management standards, provides seminars, education programs and professional certification. PMI is recognised by international corporations as the official certifying body for project management professionals. Its members are active in chapters worldwide and represent the engineering, construction, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, utilities, information systems and automotive industries.

As of December 2011, Australian membership in PMI comprised 7,512 people – giving us the fifth largest membership amongst 189 countries.

Membership Profile - Queensland Chapter

The Chapter is one of six Australian Chapters that serve more than 4800 members. Membership in the Queensland Chapter grew nearly 18% in 2011.

At May 2012, Queensland Chapter membership is 670+ professionals. Approximately 40% of our members hold the Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential. The top 3 industries in which our members are employed are: Engineering, ICT, and Mining resources and energy.
