About the Director at Large Role
PMIQ's Volunteer Directors at Large are elected roles that represents our members, and ensure strong governance of our organisation. Ultimately our board members are custodians of our chapter values, assets, and contribution to industry; and ensure we stay on Mission, contribute to our Strategic Pillars, and create a vibrant and wonderful community for all PMIQ Members. All of our Directors at Large play many active roles in the chapter - contributing to our monthly board meetings, collaborating with other chapters nationally and internationally, representing PMIQ in the community, bringing networks and supports to PMIQld, being involved in steering committees for major PMIQ Initiatives, leading new or special initiative areas for PMIQ, senior engagement with Queensland Industry, supporting our volunteer leaders, and always being available to all members to assist any concerns, opportunities or correspondence. In common with all our board roles, elections are run strictly controlled by PMI, with all board members serving 2 year terms with a maximum of 4 consecutive terms allowed on the board.
